Medicine Buddha
Empowerment from
7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.,
March 20 and from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
March 21. Resident
teacher JoAnn Law-
rence will grant the Empowerment of
Medicine Buddha and explain a powerful
method to heal oneself and others.
Lawrence says, “Receiving the
blessings of Medicine Buddha during an
empowerment can quickly bring healing
and mental peace. Gradually, those who
practice Medicine Buddha meditations
and prayers can develop a special in-
ner power that enables them to heal the
mental and physical sickness of others.
Everyone can learn these methods and
all are welcome.”

Rain Barrel Workshop
L
earn how rain barrels can collect
rainwater from roofs at a Florida Yards
and Neighborhoods Program workshop
in Fort Myers. The event, presented by
Lee County Extension Master Gardeners,
takes place from 9 to 11 a.m., March 27,
at Rutenberg Park.
Using rain barrels can conserve wa-
ter, prevent storm water runoff and save
money. A rainfall of one-quarter inch, if
collected from a typical roof, can equal
more than 600 gallons of water.
