Sanskrit Training at
Health & Harmony Center
A
S
anskrit Level I Training Workshop will be held from 6:30
to 9 p.m., April 9; 1:30 to 7:30 p.m., April 10; and 9:30
a.m. to 3:30 p.m., April 11, at Health & Harmony Center, in
Fort Myers. The training combines the two disciplines, Sanskrit
and yoga, to create an empowering educational adventure.
According to instructor Zoe Mai, the weekend will spread the joy of reading
sutras, or scriptural narratives, in the original script and pronouncing them with
precision. Breaking through old learning patterns, participants can establish a bond
with the beauty and energy of Sanskrit and with each other as fellow students. No
prior experience or knowledge is necessary, just an interest in expanding one’s yoga
knowledge.
Mai has been trained by and teaches for the American Sanskrit Institute in New
York. She will guide students in the understanding of sacred sound and the essence
of yoga through the model of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
Cost is $225 by April 1; $265 thereafter. Location: 15951 McGregor Blvd.

New Location for Kilns ’n Clay
T
he grand opening for Kilns ’n Clay at its new location at 4910
Tamiami Trail North, Suite 120, in Naples, is scheduled for
10 a.m. to 6 p.m., March 20. Learn the joy of working with clay,
ceramics and other media via expanded classes.
The business had been on Pine Ridge Road since 2005. The
larger space, which it moved into last month, allows owner Alice
Waggoner to offer more individualized ceramic painting, glass-
fusing and slumping (creating curved pieces, like bowls and vases) classes than
before.
Waggoner describes how the art form is good for everyone: “It allows children
to create their own images. It is a gathering, a social event, for adults. For elders, it is
a place to be creative and keep the mind active. For businesses, it’s an opportunity
for employees to build teamwork.”
Most clay hand-building and wheel-throwing classes for adults and children will
encompass six weekly sessions. For more info on the grand opening, classes and
fees, call 353-CLAY (2529) or email
AWaggoner@GlenviewNaples.com. Ten percent
discount on first class with Natural Awakenings ad. See ad, page 23.
