Inn Marin s 68 individual rooms are spread out
around a spacious lawn area on the edge of a big pool,
which is warmed by the sun and a big plastic tarp.
One of the most memorable parts of Inn Marin is
Rickey s, where really good meals are served in a
relaxed setting -- with live jazz on the weekend. 670 Rio Lindo Ave, Suite 300, Chico
Executive chef, Noe Martinez, turns out subtle
flavors and great food-and-wine pairings in just the
right portions, something all-too-uncommon in hotel
fare.
My own 3-course dinner began with a tasty half
Caesar Salad with garlic croutons and parmesan cheese,
followed by a very moist, well-seasoned, pan-seared
Salmon with mashed potatoes, bok choy, and a
kalamata olive vinaigrette.
I had a delicious Vanilla Cr�me Brule for dessert, and
a glass of Cabernet, all for $22.50 plus tax.
For extracurricular activity, we drove to nearby
Viansa Winery and Italian Marketplace, a blending of " "
great wines and artisan Italian foods set in a rustic
setting on a Sonoma hillside. "
