FLYING SOUTH
FOR WINTER
He definitely didn’t disappoint though. Justin was throwing
down the fastest lap times in the 250 Pro/Am stock and
modified classes all week. Barcia didn’t dominate and
take home all the Pro titles but it wasn’t because he is
not fast enough its just a few bad starts and crashes left
him having to play catch up, which he does very well. For
example, in the last moto of the 250 Pro/Am Mod class
Travis Baker pulled the holeshot, as Barcia got around a
tenth place start. Very quickly Barica made his way past
names like Craig, Futrell, Mcdade, and Smith till he was
on the rear wheel of Baker. He was about to make the pass
on Baker, but as they went into a right hander on top of the
hill he fell over. Even though he didn’t win that race proved
he is the fastest amateur in the country right now and
there is no stopping him. Some may say that Justin rides
dirty but in my eyes he rides very aggressive and that’s just
racing. I don’t think he takes people out intentionally, but
if he can win it he is not going to baby you. He is going to
do whatever it takes to win. When the week was said and
done Barcia took home three titles. Two in Supercross and
one in Motocross.
The man who did get the most championships at the
Mini Olympics this year was Team Greens Keith Johnson.
Keith took home five titles! Johnson took home many titles
earlier in the year at Texas and Lorettas and he went onto
take home five more to wrap up the 2008 season. His
winnings started on supercross where he easily took home
the Plus 30 and 35 class titles. As the week rolled on
into motocross his winnings got bigger and bigger. He was
ripping the Gatorback track up as he took home three titles
