I
t is not often a 12 year old gets the chance to ride
a true works bike. In fact, it may never happen.
That’s what we thought until the call came from Pro
Circuit to test one of Adam Cianciarulo’s PC race bikes.
I was quick to call some of the kids on my test roster
in hopes they could make the trip to Racetown in such
short notice. Who was I kidding? They would have sold
me their front teeth to spin some laps on AC’s mod. To
top it off James Coy at Pro Circuit was sending Adam
himself out to give us the run down on his new 2009
set up.
The fork and shock on this bike are made by KYB Japan
and look like mini replicas of what Stewart used to win
the 2008 outdoor title. The entire set up is available to
the public from Pro Circuit and if you have to ask the
price, you are not serious about winning! The forks are
bolted to a set of PC top and bottom clamps while the
shock bolts up to a prototype PC linkage. I was sworn to
secrecy not to divulge the specs on the link until it was
officially for sale. Adam did say it is a must have for any
Kawasaki rider. The stock pull rods are swapped out for
a set of PC pull rods and the stock swingarm is powder
coated.
The motor is your standard PC KX85 mod with a few
touches. The main touch is Mitch Payton! He personally
worked the internals of this motor long into the night.
