I WOULD like to express my gratitude to
Getabed.co.uk. It is often reported when a tour
operator fails a customer, but thanks is rarely shown when good has been done.
As an independent agency, we
value our suppliers, and I like to think we deal with the best. After a crisis with one of our valued clients, Getabed proved its loyalty to us. Recently a customer booked a
luxury holiday in Tobago, with the promise of an exotic geteway. However, it turned out to be the opposite; it was a pre-dated, hazardous and empty complex,

Getabed helped find a slice of paradise
where management only dealt with customers via telephone. Our customers were informed
by staff on the complex that management also changed on a weekly basis, and that the current owner had just been released from prison for tax evasion. As we pride ourselves on offering
a first-class service, we did our best to relocate our customers. We approached the original
booking agent, who refused to help us due to the usual “T&Cs”. We also approached the hotel, but it could not help due to insufficient funds. Finally, we spoke with Getabed, which did everything within its power to give our customers a slice of paradise – covering all costs.
