Hiring a car in Barbados
Grantley Adams International Airport
It’s easy to pre-book a hire car for your clients in Barbados – and earn commission on it too. Vehicles range from Mini Mokes to limousines and most offer optional GPS, pre-loaded with hotels and attractions. Remind clients that they need to bring their driving licence, and will need to buy a local permit from the car rental company or police station (BD$10) which is valid for two months. It is illegal to drive without a seat belt on, and children under five must be in an appropriate child safety seat. In Barbados they drive on the left hand side just like the UK. Car rental companies will normally drop off a car at your client’s hotel free of charge. Companies include: Stoutes,
stoutescar.com; Coconut Cars,
coconutcars.com; Top Class,
topclassrentals.com; Drive-A- Matic,
barbadosautorental.com; and Courtesy Rent-a-Car,
courtesyrentacar.com
