The Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Biostatistics and Epi-
demiology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine seeks
highly qualified applicants for Clinician Educator non-tenure track
standing faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor
level. Academic rank will be commensurate with credentials and expe-
rience. A doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related disci-
pline is required. Review of applications will begin on November 16,
2008. Application will continue to be accepted after this date, until the
positions are filled. The expected start date is July 2009 or later.
Clinician Educator track applicants will typically be focused on
collaborative research as co-investigators. Applicants with collabora-
tive research interests in women’s health, pediatrics, genomics, cancer,
cardiovascular medicine, and pharmaco-epidemiology, as well as data
coordinating center expertise are encouraged to apply. Applicants in
other areas of research areas will also be considered. Candidates are ex-
pected to have a strong commitment to teaching and must demonstrate
outstanding research productivity or promise. Responsibilities include
collaborative research as co-investigators and participation in Penn’s
Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics teaching programs.
The Graduate Group in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, jointly with the
Dept of Statistics in the Wharton School, offers degree programs lead-
ing to both the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Science (MS)
in Biostatistics.
