Juliet Dennis juliet.dennis@travelweekly.co.uk

Haven is investing more than £50 million on upgrading its 36 holiday parks.

The operator’s 2017 brochure

features details of the new sports facilities, accommodation and swimming pools, which are due to be completed by March. New outdoor activities will include water sports at Primrose Valley Holiday Park in Yorkshire, such as paddleboarding and kayaking, on the on-site lake. Lakeland Leisure Park in

Cumbria will operate a high-ropes course, while Segways will be introduced at Marton Mere, Presthaven and Primrose Valley. All parks will introduce additional free daytime entertainment this year. This will include experiMental, an interactive science show hosted by a ‘mad professor’, and Greedy’s Get Up, which involves making a costume out of recycled materials with Greedy the Gorilla. These shows will run at all parks, except

Far Grange and Lydstep Beach. All of the parks will launch

Jungle Adventure, an interactive show featuring reptiles and creepy crawlies.

Most of them will also introduce

a FunStar Boot Camp, at which youngsters can learn a dance routine with the Haven characters. Park upgrades will include the

refurbishment of Hafan Y Mor indoor pool with a new slide and water features; a revamp of the outdoor pool and decking at Devon Cliffs; and an improved outdoor pool at Doniford Bay. Offers include 25% off holidays

booked by February 6, and a low deposit of only £60. A four-night break starts at

£119 for a family of four sharing a standard two-bedroom caravan at

Devon Cliffs, departing April 24. bourneleisuresales.co.uk
