GRAS UK To Show Newly Launched Anthropometric Pinnas For Improved Headphone Testing

IP67 rated data acquisition systems

Innovation is the key to Dewesoft’s success with products for a wide range of applications, from small tool-box data loggers to high speed, high channel-count systems, with support for video, GPS, and a wide range of sensor types. SIRIUS offers a wide range of front-end options and also fan-less ver- sions for dusty environments where the system can operate without cool- ing. For the most extreme conditions IP67 rated modules are available with KRYPTON

KRYPTON Voltage, T/C and Bridge modules are connected to your computer via industrial standard Ethernet connection (EtherCAT protocol) and provide a distributed measurement network where modules can be up to 100m apart without concern for IP addressing DEWESoft-X software is the driving force behind all Dewesoft hard- ware and with application specific options a system can be configured for industry standard measurements

GRAS Sound & Vibration UK Ltd (GRAS UK) will be highlighting its wide range of cutting edge measurement microphones and related acoustic accessories, including pre-amplifiers and signal conditioning de- vices. The company will be showing its newly launched KB5000/5001 right and left pinnas with anthropometric concha and ear canal for use with the 43BB low noise, highly sensitive ear simulator system designed to measure sound pressure levels close to or below the threshold of human hearing. The compact flush mount turbulence screen microphone kit, specially designed to enhance noise measurement for the automotive and aerospace sectors, will also be on display. With consumers continually demanding a better sound experience from headphone technologies, GRAS UK has introduced the KB5000/KB5001 right and left anthropometric pinnas for better meas- urement at low frequencies, including Active Noise Cancellation below 1 kHz. The low frequency response is accurate every time allowing re- duced test time whilst maintaining reliable measurements. Produced from soft silicone, the external shape of the pinna is identical to others on the market but the concha and canal have been modified so that they closely mimic the properties of a real human ear.

Sensor Technology pushes the envelope with key product developments

New and developing technologies will be the theme on the stand of one the regular exhibitors at this year’s Sensors & Instrumentation, the exhibition for test, measurement and control engineers, 28-29 September 2016, NEC Birmingham.

Sensor Technology Ltd will be showing extensions to its LoadSense range, an updated version of its ORT 230/240 range and enhancements to its wireless strain gauge amplifier. The new ORT sensors redefined user expectations for optical rotary torque transducers when they were introduced earlier this year. These torque sensors are designed for duties requiring low torque and/or high bandwidth, and provide precise, dynamic measurement of rotary and static torque from 10mNm to 100Nm and for bandwidths of up to 50 kHz. Their signal processing electronics demonstrate improved resolu- tion, frequency response and faster data handling, yet have reduced power consumption. Complementing the ORT sensors, Sensor Technology is also intro- ducing new strain gauge amplifiers, which are wireless so offer many ben- efits in terms of ease of installation, use and reconfiguration.
