types of sensor – base, non-sparking (Ex-Na) and intrinsically safe (Ex-ia) – all with integrated Hardline cables up to 10m, make ATEX certified measuring chains simple to construct. All types are acceleration compensated,
high performance compact laser profile sensor with integrated electronics, which uses a sharp-focused 10mm blue laser line for measuring small objects or difficult-to-measure surfaces. Also being showcased will be the eddyNCDT 3100 for eddy current displacement measurement. With its Smart Sensor Auto Calibration system, visitors can see how easily and quickly the sensor connects to the 3100 controller. All calibration data is then automatically uploaded from the sensor to the controller, with no need for any lengthy calibration. There will also be a demonstration of the new optoNCDT 1320 and optoNCDT 1420 laser displacement sensors, which are suitable for a variety of medium-to- high volume applications in automation, machine building and systems integration, particularly where conventional laser sensors have reached the limits of their performance capabilities. Other products on show will include the capaNCDT 6200 integrated capacitive displacement measuring system and the new colorCONTROL ACS7000, an inline high speed colour measurement system that measures the actual colour of the target by identifying their coordinates in the colour space. several new products including the Dual Range Torque Sensor Type 4503B with built-in speed sensor and integral, digital measurement conditioning system with
Kistler’s thermoacoustic pressure sensors
internally isolated and have a high natural frequency of >50 kHz. The differential charge amplifier is available in an aluminium case with connectors or glands for Ex-zone installations without additional enclosures, and a plastic case DIN rail version with screw terminal connectors. In addition to the standard sensitivity of 6μA/pC or 10mV/pC, a wide range of custom sensitivity and signal output options are available. Sensirion will be showing a variety of
products for measuring humidity and temperature, differential pressure, gas and liquid flow. These will include the new SHT35 humidity sensor, the high-end version of the SHT3x series which offers accuracy of 1.5% RH (relative humidity). Its functionality includes enhanced signal processing, two distinctive and user-selectable I2
C addresses and
communication speeds of up to 1MHz. Visitors will also be able to learn about
the SHT3x protective cover, an optional polyimide foil directly attached to the top surface of the sensor. It covers the SHT3x’s complete sensing area and thus acts as a reliable shield against pollution during SMT assembly of the sensor and subsequent processes, such as conformal coating or potting. Other products on show will be the new SHTW2 humidity sensor, which comes in a flip chip package resulting in a footprint of just 1.3 x 0.7 x 0.5mm3

The SDP3x sensor, meanwhile, measures just 5 x 8 x 5mm3

These, the company explains, are ideal for applications such as sensor technology, material handling and communications systems, providing 360˚ shielding and offering an attenuation of 60dB at 1Ghz, ensuring un-interrupted data transfer. display will be the new M12 A- and B-coded crimp connectors which are designed to withstand high levels of vibration and shock loads, and a range of M12 A-coded connectors designed
