For some people summer is the perfect time to leave that drysuit at home, and instead take to the seas in a wetsuit. Sure the ocean may only change temperature at depth by a wee bit, but sweating your ass off in a drysuit before you’ve even got to the ocean can take the fun out of your Sunday dive. BARE have two great lines, Reactive (left) off ers 3mm, 5mm, and 7mm suits for men. Evoke (right) off ers the same thicknesses for women. Both wetsuits use Celliant Infrared fabric - here’s the science: 13 thermoreactive minerals woven into the fabric of the wetsuit react to your body heat, converting it to infrared energy and refl ecting it back at you, increasing circulation and body warmth. In short, you stay toasty warm. Wetsuits aren’t just for the tropics; a good wetsuit can change the way you enjoy your summer cold water dives.
