May, 2016 Programming Platform Data I/O: LumenX™

Shanghai, China — Data I/O Corporation, a global provider of pro- gramming and IP management solu- tions for flash-memory based devices, now offers its LumenX programming platform. Since its release, the sys- tem has won the 2016 NPI award in the area of device programming. The latest generation of auto- instrument

motive infotainment,

cluster applications and wireless devices require tens of gigabytes of data to be programmed during man- ufacturing. Traditional methods of programming in the automotive and wireless markets have not been able to manage this amount of data at the time of manufacturing. The LumenX programming platform has been optimized for the latest generation of eMMC flash memory devices and large file sizes. The programmer delivers

speeds of up to 80Mb/s and download speeds of 25Mb/s. It is available as a part of the PSV7000 automated sys-

tem, as well as manual configura- tions. Since its introduction in August of last year, the system has been put to use by multiple automo- tive electronics manufacturers.

SEMICON West Booth 6078

Northfield, MN — All Flex, a manu- facturer of flexible printed circuits and heaters, has added a flexible heater design element to its online flexible circuit design course. It is a self-paced course that provides tech- nical information to support the engi- neering community and discusses the topics of polyimide and silicone rubber flexible heaters. The heat chapter is an addition

to the existing flexible circuit design course sponsored by All Flex and authored by John Michael Pierobon, an electronics industry expert and writer who has also taught numerous technical courses around the world. Since the 2012 introduction of the online course, over 500 visitors have participated. The free course covers basic design requirements based on thermal

needs, calculation examples, mount- ing methods, and concludes with review questions. Jamin Taylor, a sen- ior applications engineer with the company, describes the course as a valuable tool for engineers to increase their knowledge about flexible heater materials, constructions and layout conventions, and is beneficial for both novices and more experienced design- ers. The company has expanded this area of technical support as comple- ment to its Build-A-Heater™ pro- gram. All Flex introduced the Build-A- Heater web-based heater configurator

in November of last year. Contact: All Flex Flexible
