Page 25 New Spring-Loaded Target Connectors from Mill-Max

Oyster Bay, NY — Mill-Max, a manufacturer of high-reliability and precision-machined intercon- nects, is expanding its selection of target connec- tors in both the 0.100 and 0.050in (2.54 and 1.27mm) grid families. Target connectors are used in place of SMT pads on a PCB as the mating sur- face for spring-loaded pins. The new products in- clude right-angle with concave mating face (0.100in/2.54mm) grid, through-hole and surface- mount with concave face (0.50in/1.27mm) grid, and horizontal

surface-mount and right-angle

(0.50in/1.27mm) grid with both flat and concave options available. Combining target connectors with spring-

loaded connectors on opposing boards can be a simple and convenient solution for making connections be- tween stacked boards or docking stations and de- vices. Concave face targets provide additional surface area for mating and can aid in the centering and alignment of components and boards fitted with spring-loaded connectors. As a complement to the compa-

ny’s existing 0.100in right-angle tar- get connectors, it has introduced two series that contain targets with con- cave faces. These connectors come in single and double-row series, both for through-hole mounting. In its 0.50in grid lineup, the company has added concave face versions of its SMT and through-hole target connectors. The connectors include series of single and double-row versions for both

IPTE Intros Lean Stick Feeder

Genk, Belgium — IPTE, a supplier of automated production equipment for the electronics industry, has intro- duced its Lean Stick Feeder (LSF) — the successor to the MSF Stick Feeder. The company also offers variants of the feeder to accommodate different types of pick-and-place equipment.

Did you say highly flexible? HELUKABEL’s continuous-flex cables have been

tested for over 10 million cycles and thus proven to last. These durable cables are resistant to extreme mechanical

The feeder has been redesigned

and is now significantly shorter, which allows for more clearance around pick-and-place systems. It also contains a 2.8in (7.11cm) touch- screen with a user-friendly interface. To unload components it uses a mo- torized “pusher.” It comes equipped with a detection feature that alerts personnel when the tube is almost empty. A secondary feeding option for higher performance, which allows the tube to be changed while feeding, is also available. The company’s other feeders include axial and radi- al tape, tab, pin header, stick, and tray feeders. IPTE also offers cus-

tomer-specific feeders as well. Contact: IPTE Factory Automa-

SMT and through-hole mounting. Rounding out the lineup of connectors are

right-angle and horizontal surface-mount (HSMT) versions on a 0.50in grid. These connectors provide low-profile options for parallel or right-angle board mating arrangements. The HSMT version is espe- cially suited for daisy chaining applications, such as those found in LED strip lighting assemblies. These connectors are available with both flat and concave face options. All of the company’s pins are precision-ma-

chined and gold-plated for environmental protec- tion, durability and reliable conductivity. The con- nector insulators are molded from high-tempera- ture plastic, which is suitable for most soldering processes and RoHS environments. All of the prod-

ucts are RoHS-compliant. Contact: Mill-Max Mfg. Corp., 190 Pine Hol-
