OKW Intros Body-Case Wearable Enclosure


Bridgeville, PA — OKW Enclosures has introduced its Body-Case, the company’s first fully-wearable, elec- tronic enclosure. The wearable enclo- sure has been designed specifically to fit a standard 18mm (0.71in) wrist strap, which allows it to be worn like a watch. covered before, but it is worth saying that the number of engineering grad- uates is far higher in lower-cost envi- ronments like India and China than in Europe and the U.S. With a short- age in skills and education comes a slowdown in the trend towards au- tomation. On the upside, these more


skilled jobs attract higher incomes with greater levels of taxation, and an ability to spend more money dis- cretionally, which also has broader economic benefits. This is good news, considering that robots have no dis- posable income and mostly live on electricity and lubricants. I guess the energy and oil industries will be hap- py about that. In final analysis, it is the same


as it has always been. Less skilled jobs become less tenable, the work- force climbs the skill ladder, educa- tion has to try and keep pace with in- dustry, and automation is inevitable. Still, operational excellence is a com- petitive advantage, and the ability to provide great, hands-on customer service is the difference between win- ning and losing. r
