Ryanair reveals new winter services to four German cities
Ryanair has unveiled new services to Germany for the winter, with double-daily flights to Hamburg from Stansted and daily services from Manchester to Berlin, Hamburg and Nuremberg. The carrier will also start
daily services to Toulouse and Timisoara, in Romania, from
Stansted next winter. The Stansted services start on November 1, as do the carrier’s Manchester flights to Berlin and Nuremberg; the Manchester-Hamburg flights launch on October 30. Manchester airport managing
director Ken O’Toole said: “Nuremberg is an important business destination for the region. Hamburg and Berlin are also strong business destinations.” German firm Siemens has a
significant presence in Manchester.

BA to start Stanste

British Airways will launch flights from Stansted this summer, the first time it has flown from the airport.
BA subsidiary BA CityFlyer will
operate the services to leisure destinations Faro, Malaga, Palma and Ibiza from the end of May. All the services will be once

and return on Sundays, and Faro services will go out and back on Sundays. BA CityFlyer will operate the services on 98-seat Embraer jets, with a two-class cabin comprising Club Europe (business) and Euro Traveller (economy). Fares start from £49 each way
on a return ticket with hand baggage only. The services are scheduled to
end at the close of the summer season in late October, but BA “may review an extension if there is sufficient demand”. Luke Hayhoe, BA commercial and customer general manager at CityFlyer, said: “We will be offering a full scheduled service to
