New high-pressure seal-less diaphragm pump

Waterproof collection K

strengthens Dr. Martens industrial range for 2015

eep your feet protected from the elements this winter, in one of three new safety boots from Dr. Martens’ industrial range. Designed to safeguard tradesmen who must spend part, or all of their time outdoors, the new fully waterproof collection comes in three styles; TURBINE ST, SURGE ST and TORRENT ST. Particularly suitable for outdoor workers enduring prolonged exposure to the cold weather,

the

TORRENT ST 8-tie waterproof S3 boot has an abrasion resistant toe guard and 200g Insulation to provide total protection and comfort in extreme work environments. A padded collar and tongue also provides increased wearer comfort. The non- metallic, composite safety toe-cap eliminates cold transfer discomfort - commonly experienced with steel caps.

leaks, hazards and the expense associated with replacing seals and packing. Pumping up to 98 l/min at pressures up to 345 bar, the Hydra-Cell T8030 boasts a unique diaphragm design that handles more abrasives with less wear than gear, screw or plunger pumps. It can operate with a closed or blocked suction line and can run dry indefinitely without damage, eliminating downtime and repair costs. With three hydraulically balanced diaphragms in a single pump head, designed to handle high pressures with low stress, the Hydra-Cell T8030 is energy efficient and has a lower energy requirement that similarly rated centrifugal pumps.

Accelerometer for restriced space installations from IMI Sensors

MI Sensors offers a low cost ICP® industrial accelerometer that installs conveniently into tight spaces at lower cost than conventional through bolt sensors. The unique design facilitates positioning of the integral, side-exit cable while the floating lock nut keeps the sensor securely in place. Ideal for permanent installations in space-restricted locations, the 607A11’s laser-welded hermetically sealed shear design make it suitable for use in dirty, oily and even submerged applications. With a 100mV/g sensitivity, a frequency range to 10kHz and optional ATEX intrinsically safe versions available, the Model 607A11 is available for delivery in less than a week and is substantially cheaper than most through-bolt designs. The Model 607A11 Swiveler® is the logical choice for predictive maintenance installations where space is restricted.

PSE570 Series pressure sensor from SMC

S

MC, the worldwide leading expert in pneumatics, has designed an easy to install pressure sensor for non-corrosive gas or liquids that reduces operating costs. The PSE570 is suitable for a wide range of applications such as liquid coolant pressure control, discharge pressure control for compressors and suction verification of work pieces containing moisture. It has been designed with efficiency in mind and is very quick and simple to wire thanks to its M12 connector. Able to withstand unexpected surges in pressure, up to three times greater than the rated pressure, the PSE570 is also able to cope with sudden voltages as high as 500 V AC, reducing the risk of damage and extending its operating life. A spokesman for SMC said: “By listening to our customers, we’ve been able to develop an easy-to-use pressure sensor for general purpose fluids. The PSE570 lasts longer than other sensors of its kind and is simple to connect, making it a very versatile product and a great addition to our existing sensor range.”
