Butlin’s switches to digital brochure WIN!

Juliet Dennis juliet.dennis@travelweekly.co.uk

Butlin’s has axed its main paper brochure for the trade in favour of a digital guide for 2016.

The holiday camps operator said it made the decision after consulting the trade, to enable it to update agents more easily on the latest offers. Butlin’s denied the move, a year

after it axed paper brochures for consumers, was to cut costs. Erman Housin, sales and

marketing manager, said: “Agents are always at the forefront of what we do, which is why we decided to launch our first-ever purely digital

breaks guide for the trade based on the feedback obtained from agents. “The digital format will allow

us to update the trade far easier with our latest messages, pricing and offers, which will be instantly available for agents to view and download from their branches.” The operator said it waited

a year before launching its 24-page digital 2016 Family Breaks Guide, so it could learn from direct clients’ experience with non-paper brochures. Butlin’s is producing rack cards

for agents to display on shelves to encourage customers to ask staff about its 2016 products. Agents who complete the

revamped Butlin’s online training course will be entered into a prize draw to win an off-peak short break for up to four people, while

£50 Love2shop vouchers are being offered for the best Butlin’s window display. Both competitions close on December 17. The guide, which can be

downloaded from the operator’s trade website or via tradegate.co.uk, showcases new accommodation including the £16 million West Lakes chalet village in Minehead; seaside apartments in Skegness; and nautically theme accommodation at Bognor Regis’ Shoreline Hotel. Entertainment for 2016 includes an exclusive show from dance troupe Diversity. Savings of up to 20% are

available on breaks booked by
