Holland America Line to revamp suites on 10 ships

Holland America Line is to enhance and refurbish all the suites across its Signature, Vista and R-class ships.

Princess to open gastropub on board three vessels
Princess Cruises will introduce a Salty Dog Gastropub on Crown Princess this month. The venue will also appear on Emerald Princess and Ruby Princess by the end of the year.

Zuiderdam and Noordam will be refurbished soon after. Holland America said

Electronic upgrades will include a new USB charging port in the bed’s headboard and a new television system offering free movies on demand. From January 2016, all suite guests will also have access to a Bose docking station, binoculars, a coffee and espresso machine, and complimentary mimosa cocktails with an in-suite breakfast. The line has also forged a partnership with BBC Earth that will involve concerts, films, shows and children’s activities taking place across the fleet. Themed cruises are also on the cards. The BBC Earth programme will be rolled out from April and will
feature on all ships by September.

CMV TIPTOS AROUND AGENTS: Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has joined independent operators group Tipto as it looks to build relationships with new trade partners. The line’s head of trade sales, Lisa Jacobs (pictured with her sales team), said she believed Tipto provided a platform to reach agents not currently selling the brand. “We are passionate about engaging further with all of our trade partners and look forward to building relationships with new ones,” she said.
