Casa Cook woos hip 20somethings

Thomas Cook is introducing a hotel brand, Casa Cook, aimed at ‘modern’ young travellers, to fill a gap in its portfolio.


The brand’s first property, Casa


Cook Rhodes, will open in May 2016 and be exclusive to Thomas Cook Group customers. Casa Cook is the group’s sixth concept brand. The others are Sentido for couples and young families; family brands Sunwing and SunConnect; Sunprime for adults; and budget brand Smartline. The spokesman said: “We don’t want to cannibalise our existing


brands. All our brands target specific groups and this is a group that we have not yet addressed.” The hotel, which was formerly


called the Sunprime White Pearl and was exclusive to Cook, is being refurbished to fit the new concept. Located on the hillsides of


Kolymbia, it will offer 90 rooms Three further Casa Cook hotels

and is aimed at 25 to 30-year-olds with “an affinity for fashion and design”. Guests will be able to eat at any time of the day at Casa Cook Rhodes’ restaurant, which will serve locally sourced food with a focus on healthy eating. Each room will either have


swim-up access or a private pool. The hotel will offer yoga, pilates, massages and a gym. All Casa Cook properties will have bicycles for guests to use. Thomas Cook offers seven


nights’ B&B at the four-star-plus Casa Cook Rhodes from £555 per person, based on two adults sharing a swim-up double room,
