BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNOUNCES
SEARCH PROCESS FOR NEXT CEO In August 2015, the PSIA-AASI Board of Di- rectors approved a multi-phased approach for conducting a search to replace longtime PSIA-AASI CEO Mark Dorsey, who stepped down this summer. A recently-appointed PSIA-AASI Search Committee recommended select steps to be facilitated and executed by professionals with specifi c expertise in non- profi t association executive searches. The Search Committee – comprised of cur-
rent Eastern Division President Eric Jordan, past PSIA-AASI Chairman Eric Sheckleton, PSIA-AASI Northwest Division Board Member John May, and chaired by PSIA-AASI Secretary and Western Division Board Member Neil Bussiere – researched options for conducting CEO searches for large, member-based, non- profi t associations and presented the recom- mended plan and associated timeline to the PSIA-AASI Board on August 26 for approval. By pairing PSIA-AASI’s instructional exper-
tise and thousands of passionate profes- sionals with Snow Operating’s process-based focus on creating better learning terrain and an improved guest experience, the two orga- nizations will collaboratively promote skiing and riding, raise awareness of how easy the sports are to learn, and engage the ski and snowboard industry in conversations about the importance of increasing the rate of conversion (the process of turning beginner skiers and riders into repeat customers).
