Dr. Dee Ellis, Texas state veterinarian and executive director of the Texas Animal Health Commission, met with the Fever Tick Subcom- mittee early on Friday and spoke at the Animal Health Committee meeting later that day. Ty Keeling, Boerne, and David Winters, Del Rio, serve as chair and vice chair of the Fever Tick Subcommittee. Tom Haynie, Navasota, and Keeling, serve as chair and vice chair of the Animal Health Committee.
