HE LEADERS OF TEXAS AND SOUTHWESTERN CATTLE RAISERS Association (TSCRA) have evolved the traditional
fall board meeting into the TSCRA Policy Conference in order to give every member an opportunity to partici- pate in their association’s policy development process and to encourage open and frank discussion on the issues facing ranchers and landowners. The TSCRA Policy Conference offers a broad range of
sessions highlighting the intersection between ranching and public policy. Topics will include private property rights, water rights, animal health issues, the latest university research, and much more. Participants will include ranchers, academics and public policy makers from around the region. The conference has been planned with the attend-
ees’ budget in mind. Full- and day-package registra- tion rates offer members fl exibility, and the schedule leaves evenings free, allowing attendees time to enjoy San Antonio as they choose. The TSCRA Policy Conference runs Wednesday, Sept.
23, to Friday, Sept. 25. All meetings will be held at the Westin Riverwalk, San Antonio. All of the association policy committees will meet on Thursday, Sept. 24. Policy committees include Agricultural Research,
Animal Health, Brand and Inspection, Labor, Leg- islative and Tax, Marketing, Natural Resources and Environment, and Wildlife. Read the job descriptions for TSCRA’s policy committees in this month’s issue of The Cattleman Plus on your iPad or Android tablet, or at
www.thecattlemanmagazine.com, to decide which committees are of greatest interest to you. The TSCRA Policy Conference offers 3 general ses-
