key to ultimate success, has been the objective to match this excellent service with quality components at competitive prices.
The current product range Europa’s product range includes consumer units and three phase distribution boards, complete with a range of 6kA and 10kA MCBs, RCDs and RCBOs, plus surge protection and photovoltaic devices, as well as a comprehensive selection of contactors, relays and time clocks. An extensive offering of steel and ABS enclosures, industrial plugs and sockets are also available together with accessories such as tape, cable glands, terminal blocks and junction boxes. Europa have been recently appointed as national distributors for FIBOX offering an extended range of enclosures including IP66 glass reinforced polycarbonate cabinets. In addition to all these products are Europa’s
top selling ranges of load break switches, including their recent addition of Safe Switch enclosed switches rated from 160A to 1000A. Following the success of Safe Switch a new line

of Safe Start motor starters has just been released. There is still the widest range of fuses and holders on offer from any single supplier and these include all major manufacturers, such as Lawson, Siba and Mersen. All in all, a range of control gear and
related products designed to meet the needs of both Europa’s distributors, electrical wholesalers and their customers, the electrical contractors.
The all new Amendment 3 compliant range – September 2015 Europa’s ultimate solution to Amendment 3 of BS7671 for domestic installations is the new E-Line Metal Clad Consumer Unit Range. These aesthetically
designed enclosures are manufactured entirely in metal, offering a high level of safety and protection against the risk of fire as required in the amended IET Wiring Regulations. They are padlockable, have multiple cut-outs suitable for 35 x 25mm cable ducting and have generous internal wiring space.
The enclosure range has options up to 18 useable ways, pre-fitted with a 100A Switch, an 80A RCD or both. There are further options also fitted with surge protection devices, whilst an array of fully loaded boards completes this exciting new E-Line range. As well as this High grade E-Line domestic
range, Europa also have Amendment 3 compliant options for industrial and commercial installations, including an extended range of single phase Type A distribution boards – all high quality products at competitive prices.
Customer support There is a whole package of support available for Europa’s distributors in terms of marketing
activity, but absolutely key to the company’s approach here is to ensure prices to the ultimate user are very competitive, whilst at the same time building in equally competitive returns for the wholesaler. Europa’s annual catalogue is a highly
respected and fundamental selling tool, whilst the supply of free standing display units for a wide range of clam packed control gear products has also improved sell through in many wholesale branches. Technical support is made available via a highly experienced internal team, via QR code or Europa’s website, the latter now having a rapidly expanding set of on line videos to support both the wholesaler and contractor.
The future Since the move to Luton in 2008, Europa has
more than doubled its turnover, with plans in place to double again over the next five years. The strategy is more of the same, with organic growth emanating from an extended, but compatible, product range, plus gaining market share within the current customer base. Fundamental to Europa’s future approach to the UK Market will be understanding market and customer needs and meeting these needs in terms of products, service and profitability for the whole distribution chain.
