EDTRIN agrees collaboration with UK-based e-learning
publisher, Jenison Two e-learning companies have struck an agreement to establish a partnership for the delivery of global e-learning systems. EDTRIN, the publicly listed platform for online
education has signed a non-exclusive Memorandum of Understanding with Jenison, the UK-based publisher of off-the-shelf online learning resources, learning management tools and rapid content authoring.
Steve Soper, Jenison’s CEO, said “Jenison supports the EDTRIN mission, is excited to be part of it and looks forward to working with EDTRIN in what promises to be a successful and prosperous partnership for both companies.” Among other opportunities, the agreement means EDTRIN and its content production partners to use Jenison’s Perform authoring tool for the development of bespoke digital learning content.
Kallidus wins Anglian
Water contract Anglian Water has chosen Kallidus Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver, manage and track all learning and development initiatives across the organisation. The Software as a Service (SaaS) solution should go live during the summer and is designed to enable Anglian Water to manage its training more effectively, streamline reporting and move to mobile learning in the future. Anglian Water has more than 4,500 employees and six million customers, and is the largest water and water recycling company in England and Wales by geographic area. Blackboard acquires more in open source
Blackboard has bought a UK open source company. The acquisition of Remote- Learner UK, which is focussed on selling to the education sector, is designed to allow Blackboard to offer services and solutions to educational institutions and businesses which leverage open source learning management system Moodle.
The deal is the latest investment from Blackboard in open sources following its purchase of Moodlerooms and NetSpot in 2012. Mark Strassman, senior vice president of product

Its Enterprise Learning Intelligence System (ELIS) is designed to offer better management of learning programmes through enrolment management tools, notifications, reports and analytics, and learning outcomes.

Mothercare is a first time e-learner
Retailer Mothercare is modernising its approach to health and safety training by moving online with its first ever e-learning course for staff. The 20 minute- long bespoke module, Staying Safe at Work, has been created for the company by Sponge UK. The module, which includes an e-learning game and custom-made illustrations, is designed to provide an engaging and consistent learning experience for new starters, as well as refresher training for existing staff.
