Monica Bill Barnes & Co. “Happy Hour”
Thursday, December 3 at 7 & 9 pm $30
“Pitch-perfect not only in humor, but in humanness, too, it turns out—seems to invite us all to shed our insecurities and relax, maybe even glory, in our imperfect selves.” —Boston Globe
Fresh off their thrilling performance with Ira Glass in Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host, choreographer and dancer Monica Bill Barnes returns to the Flynn with her dance partner, Anna Bass. In the duo’s new show Happy Hour, Barnes and Bass trade their signature sequins and feather headdresses for a pair of everyday men’s suits in the world’s first-ever cocktail party dance show. With nothing up their sleeves and just a few things in their pockets, they dance their way through the guys in ties—from the Rat Pack to Las Vegas magicians and silent comic tramps to classic business men. Happy Hour invites audiences to have a drink, laugh at our collective failures, and celebrate our own shortcomings.

“A Christmas Carol” Friday, December 11 at 7 pm $45/$38/$30
“A heartwarming family favorite!” —St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Featuring a 24-member cast, a live orchestra, colorful costumes, spirited dancing, and show-stopping special effects, Nebraska Theatre Caravan’s beautifully staged musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol, is a perennial Flynn holiday favorite. Adapted for the stage by Charles Jones, this beloved performance shares the tale of tight-fisted, middle-class merchant Ebenezer Scrooge, and ultimately shows that a greedy world can be healed by brotherhood and unselfishness.
