Vendex Midlands Andy Dixon, sales manager at Mondele ¯z International, commented:
“Vendex Midlands provided a great opportunity to meet with our customers face-to-face. We were able to engage with these customers in a really interactive way, discussing a number of topics such as our current plans for the business. and our ground-breaking Coffee Made Happy initiative. Vendex also allowed us to showcase our ground-breaking Coffee Made Happy initiative, whilst networking with others within the sector. We received excellent comments on the strong presence and impactful nature of the brand, as well as a positive response to samples of our latest confectionery innovation – Cadbury Dairy Milk Oat Crunch. Overall we had an enjoyable, informative day – we look forward to returning for the next show!” SB Software MD Simon Black said: "Vendex is always a ‘must go to
show’ - a chance to catch up with existing clients and meet potential new ones. Although it was quieter than the previous Vendex Midlands, the show was fairly well attended, and the good news as far as SB Software is concerned is that there is increasing interest in the industry with regard to E ADTS, telemetry and payment systems. As Vendmanager is the only Vending Management System which uses DEX data to increase operator efficiency whilst on site, this is a huge positive for us. We look forward with anticipation to Vendex North in November." Kevin Reed, national sales manager at Siemens Financial Services,
said: “This year’s Vendex proved to be another well-attended, successful event. We appreciated the opportunity to network with many of the vending operators and to reflect on our long-standing and fruitful partnerships. The show not only gave us a valuable platform to demonstrate our commitment to the market, it also allowed us to forge new contacts and explore business opportunities with potential partners. As always, Vendex provides the perfect occasion for all stakeholders in the industry to come together to showcase the best innovations the vending sector has to offer and to foster relationships in a friendly, nurturing environment.“ N&W’s Louise Wardle said: “We were pleasantly surprised at the
turnout, but to be fair we’d let it be known that there were some exciting products to see on our stand. The new Version of Samba drew a lot of attention thanks to its brand new ETL technology. Vendex is less formal than other vending events and it's a good opportunity to meet people and invite them to get ‘hands on’ with the machines. There’s no substitute for touching and tasting when it comes to assessing just how good our new generation of machines is.”
"Vendex is a fixture on the calendar for us as it provides a good platform from which to drive our key messages and to present our
corporate image to a wide audience. We also get to display the full range of our products which is a great opportunity, as a percentage of our potential customers aren’t aware of the full and comprehensive range of beverages that we offer. We came away with good leads this year, touching base with customers that we’ve been trying to reach out to for some time. We reminded them of our outstanding pedigree and gave them good reason to consider us going forward," said Paula Bentley, UK Sales Manager at Barry Callebaut Beverages UK. Darren Bradford, Sales and Technical Manager of Allpure Filters,
and the winner of the 2014 Vending Industry Awards for Best Ancillary Service, was very pleased to support Phil Reynolds and be part of another successful ‘Vendex’ exhibition. Darren would like to take this opportunity to thank Phil, Jenny, the Nivo ladies and everyone involved for all their hard work in producing another show, and for all the existing and new clients taking time out from their busy schedules to come and discuss new opportunities and expand their current supply of quality product through Allpure Filters with the Omnipure, John Guest and 3M / Cuno ranges. Mark Simpson, managing director DarenthMJS, commented: "This
year’s Vendex Midlands proved as successful as ever for us, and once again the quality of visitors and leads generated were absolutely superb. It was good to see some new faces both exhibiting and attending this year’s event and the venue was simply a joy to work, with none of the bureaucracy and hassles that the larger venues always entail. We have already booked our space at Vendex North for later on this year and look forward to seeing friends old and new there."
Vendex North will be held at Old Trafford on 17 November 2015.
