n 30 April, the Judging Panel for The Vendies 2015 met in London to decide who will progress through to the next round of the competition. Event director and chairperson of the panel Hannah Dedman commented: “The quality of entries has been


outstanding with companies both large and small getting involved and taking the time to nominate their individual staff members. We are delighted with how the industry has continued to positively engage with the awards.” Gillian White, acting CEO of the AVA, commented: "I confess to


being seriously impressed with the quality of entries across all categories. It was also fantastic that so many front line Route Operators and Service Engineers were nominated - businesses are all about people and we have so many great ones in our midst." Tony Smith, national sales manager, Douwe Egberts agreed: “With


so many nominations for Route Operator of the Year I struggled to name just one.” Yvonne Reynolds-Young, Planet Vending MD and publisher, added:


“The Vendies are the industry’s single opportunity to showcase themselves, acknowledge and applaud their amazing achievements and people, and to gain from the publicity and PR that undoubtedly emanates from the event.”
