The LiuGong Metso joint venture is already bearing fruit, with the launch of new track-mounted crushing equipment.

oint-venture LiuGong Metso Construction Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has launched its first prototype track-mounted

mobile crushing and screening equipment destined specifically for the Chinese market.

Te equipment is made for

quarrying, road and bridge construction as well as construction waste recycling. Hard stones can be crushed and building materials recovered.

Te company said in a statement, “Te joint venture perfectly combines Metso’s professional knowledge in the business and technical fields of the track-mounted mobile crushing and screening plants with the strong marketing network and production capacity of LiuGong in China.” Metso has some 1,500 employees in China.

Here today, cone tomorrow Sandvik Mining has added to its existing CH800 range with two more cone crushers.

Te CH860 is designed for high- capacity secondary crushing while the CH865 is designed for high-reduction tertiary and pebble applications utilising higher forces. Te motor is a 500kW unit. Andreas Christoffersson, product line manager for cone crushers at Sandvik Mining explains the development, “We scaled down our larger CH890 and CH895 mining cone crushers to create two mid-range models that are even more productive, robust and reliable, and feature enhanced environmental, health and safety characteristics. Depending on the application the CH860 and the CH865 outperform competing equipment in the mid-range segment by as much as 30% and deliver a two- fold increase in performance range.” Te company claims the machines contain fewer moving parts than competitors and have non-welded liners on the top and bottom shell for easier maintenance. Te crushers use ASRi (Automatic Setting Regulation control system),
