Installation is completed by first cleaning the area, then applying a metal primer. When dry, the buffed rubber back of the tile is attached to the steel using a bonding agent. Tis trowellable, heavy duty Tixotropic epoxy is designed for securing ceramic tiles, wear plates and alumina tiles as well as metal and fibreglass structure bonding to rubber


and polyurethane parts. It can also be used as a repair putty in areas deemed non-critical. Te two-pack compound will stay paste-like for half an hour, with a full cure time of 12 hours at 25°C.


Casting call Basalt is a naturally occurring material that can be melted, cast and annealed to form a fine crystalised ceramic of extreme hardness. It is an ideal material for wear protection, and Calyco casts it to make a variety of shapes including tiles, lined pipe and abrasion-resistant linings. It is so useful because when it wears, its coefficient of friction increases, improving flow conditions. It can be used up to approximately 400°C.
