This fi ve-person com- mittee is responsible for imple- menting important decisions by AQHA members through the As- sociation’s board of directors. The committee members are Dr. Glenn Blodgett, Guthrie, president; San- dy Arledge, Encinitas, Calif., fi rst vice president; Ralph Seekins, Fairbanks, Alaska, second vice president; and members Dr. Jim Heird, College Station, and Stan Weaver, Big Sandy, Mont. International Brangus Breeders Association (IBBA) members were recognized for their service and loyalty to the breed at that group’s March convention. The Pioneer Award was given posthu- mously to David Schubert, Chair Brand Cattle, in Mississippi. The IBBA Breeder of the Year Award went to John Milam with Drag- gin’ M Ranch. The Commercial Producer of the Year award was presented posthumously to Don- ald “Don” Robertson, who worked with the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Inc., for 23 years.
