RACKISH WATER HAS MORE SALINITY THAN FRESH WATER, BUT less than sea water. It is unsuitable for most plant
and animal species; therefore, appropriate steps must be taken to remove salts and other chemicals from the water in order to increase its usefulness for irrigation and livestock watering. It is estimated that approximately 880 trillion gal-
