Zoetis Partners with Customers to Support Ag and Veterinary Students in 2015

F

OR THE SEVENTH YEAR, ZOETIS PARTNERS WITH ITS VETERINARIAN AND DEALER customers to support agricultural and veterinary students around the

country through its Industry Support Program. Through April 30, 2015, a portion of funds from eligible purchases of

cattle and equine products from Zoetis were directed to local FFA chapters and/or veterinary student scholarships through the American Associa- tion of Bovine Practitioners (AABP) and American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) foundations on behalf of local veterinarians and animal health suppliers. In previous years, more than 1,000 veterinarian and dealer customers from across the country participated in the program.

Support for agricultural students In 2014, Canyon FFA received support from the Industry Support Pro-

gram to help fund chapter programs. “FFA students around the country are making a difference to improve

the agriculture industry, and the donations offered to them can leave a lasting effect on people and communities,” said Jeff Klose, an agriculture science teacher and department chair of career and technical education at Canyon High School. “The money from the Zoetis Industry Support Program helps students inform the public about agriculture.”

College of Veterinary Medicine, has seen the impact of the Zoetis program and an AABP Foundation scholarship. “Zoetis is willing to help the future of veterinary medicine and that

speaks very highly of the core values of the company,” Nicholson said. “Zoetis not only demonstrates its commitment in scholarship form but also by providing opportunities for students that they may not have had without their support.” Support of FFA, the AABP Foundation and the AAEP Foundation through

the Industry Support Program is a component of Commitment to Veteri- narians™; a Zoetis initiative supporting veterinarians through training and education, research and development, and investing in the future of the veterinary profession.
