Groupcall Emerge - It’s all in hand! The Right Information in the Right Place at the Right Time G

roupcall Emerge is the powerful yet intuitive app enabling schools to have an up-to-the- minute copy of their MIS (Management Information System) data instantly and securely available in the palm of their hand for access anytime, anywhere. Registration can be taken simply with Emerge and written directly back to the school’s MIS along with behaviour, achievement and assessment write- back for SIMs. Dinner registration, Fire registration plus a new ‘Help Me’ button are now available! Student information including timetables, attendance, assessment, minutes late, absence notes, medical information, behavioural, achievement data can be accessed wherever the teacher is located (even in another country) without the need to rely on a desktop or laptop computer. Available on Apple iOS, Android and Windows 8.1 devices (tablets and computers). Groupcall Emerge is the perfect solution for authorised users to access information when and wherever it is needed e.g. in an emergency where the school system may be down or access to the school is restricted. As the data is wirelessly synchronised with the school’s MIS on a regular basis, Emerge ensures that the data is always up- to-date. Emerge empowers users to have their full school register (along with dinner registration for primary schools) available wherever they are, even in another country while on a school trip, so if the unexpected happens, all the information they need including attendance, assessment (write-back), timetables, student and parent contact details, minutes late, absence notes, medical, behavioural and achievement data is at their fingertips. Fire registration is now available where staff can quickly and accurately take registration upon evacuation. Emerge also has the functionality to take photographic and video evidence in real-time, so perfect to record behavioural incidents and achievements as they happen in real time that can be written right back

to the MIS. In the event of an emergency where help is required, the new ‘Help Me’ button enables the user to log their location, add notes and request help instantly.

The Headteacher functionality shows analytical information on key attributes which are automatically updated and available to view every day. Secure access to the school’s sensitive information is central to the design of Groupcall Emerge. The application is encrypted using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) which is a government standard. Via this method, meaningful information is scrambled into incomprehensible data that can only be read using a unique 128 bit key. Emerge also uses two-factor authentication to tie users to specific devices. Furthermore, the system locks automatically when inactive and can only be accessed again using a PIN code, thus ensuring access to authorised users only.

As an additional measure, if the device is lost or stolen, Emerge can be remotely deactivated and all data wiped, therefore guaranteeing that even the encrypted information is unable to be accessed. You can take registration anywhere so great when in the gym, on the playing field or away from the school on a field trip. Even if you are out of wireless range, the data will synchronise automatically as soon as your device comes back within range. Groupcall Emerge is totally portable and available on Apple iOS, Android and Windows 8.1 devices. If a school does not have Wi-Fi, a device with 3G connectivity will be necessary. The Groupcall Emerge Management Console is installed remotely - full support and training is provided (included in the subscription charge) and is offered continuously on an ‘as and when required’ basis.
