in Greensboro, North Carolina, enjoyed the opportunity to test their athleticism at the S.T.A.R.S. (Standardized Testing of Athleticism to Recognize Skaters) interactive booth inside FanFest. Fans of all ages participated in some of the same athletic tests that U.S. Figure Skating

From sheer power to fl exibility to intricate balance, the S.T.A.R.S. experience off ered demonstrations and allowed participants to test their vertical jump, perform the hexa- gon jump, and demonstrate strength and endurance with push-ups and hand presses. S.T.A.R.S. will begin its fi fth annual season of nationwide combines this spring. Athletes can register for combines and fi nd a list of dates and cities at www.starscombine.org. The combine will also feature an educational seminar titled “The Training Game,” which will focus on building on- and off -ice training programs based on your athleticism.
