An eventful year

It’s that time of year again when we celebrate everything edtech with the world’s leading learning technology event, Bet 2015. Last year’s show, which saw 36,000

visitors arrive at the ExCel in London, was all about the computing curriculum and the challenges of bringing coding into the classroom. The focus of this year’s event is, quite simply, how to enhance access to education through technology. This year, organisers have also launched Futures, a platform to nurture the very best edtech start-ups. Read our Bet preview, including speaker profiles from Education Secretary the Rt Hon Nicky Morgan, on page 53. If you’ve still got some energy left

after Bet, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) returns to the Amsterdam Rai in February. Promising over 50,000 people and more than 950 exhibitors, ISE 2015 will present the largest AV tradeshow ever held in Europe. Find out more about this year’s event on page 64. Finally, thank you to all of our

readers and partners for your support throughout 2014. Here’s to a prosperous new year in the world of edtech. Until next time,

Rebecca Paddick Editor
