mixers. These models feature stationary mixing systems and mobile containers that have capacities of 30 to 4,000 litres. Frantzen says that the mixers minimize material build-up, facilitate rapid cleaning and achieve fast changeovers. Once a container is wheeled into the unit and clamped to the station, it rotates 180˚ for mixing. After processing, the container returns to its original position for removal. vortices, while improving dispersion and reducing mixing time. Compared with conventional tools, Mixaco reports up to 10 times less heat with the MT system. This equates to a heat-up rate of 0.5 to 1°C/min, versus 5 to 10°C/min with standard mixing tools, he notes.
