Church and Convent of Santo Domingo: This place of worship in Panama City was originally constructed by Dominican friars, who began building their church immediately after the founding of Casco Viejo. After a fire destroyed the building in 1756, it was never rebuilt, but the Flat Arch (Arco Chato) sitting at the entrance survived for centuries until it eventually collapsed in 2003. It has since been restored.
