techniques, handling applications and sensor systems are used. In addition to the precisely defined

standards for the Profinet data interfaces, further individual signal and data connections are required for the transmission of analogue, digital, bus and

specific project with the internal connections on PCB connectors, for example, with ribbon cable connection. This form of device integration is used when already existing device designs are packed into housings with a high level of protection for use in harsh environments -

low-voltage signals. The PushPull Signal connector is also the ideal choice for meeting these diverse requirements.

Simple device integration Developers of the PushPull interfaces paid special attention to simple device integration, enabling users to find components co-ordinated to the particular requirements (Figure .4). Ready-to-use, pre- assembled panel feed-throughs are available for use in switch cabinets and controllers, such as those found in machine and plant construction. These are

an economical and swift solution for device integration in small production runs and customised solutions. For larger runs, direct integration of the interfaces on the main PCB is the most efficient solution. The individual components, such as signal, USB, RJ45 or power sockets, assembly adapters and bulkhead-mounted housings, are available to the customer. In order to position the interfaces for the power supply, RJ45 and USB in a row in a space-saving manner, USB sockets with adapters are placed on the customer PCB is a way that matches the installation

available as socket/socket couplers or in versions with internal connection cables. Panel feed-throughs are used for feeding internal interfaces of controllers or industrial PCs to the outside for service purposes. Developers use individual components and panel feed-throughs with adapter boards for direct device integration. The latter can be adapted to the device developer’s requirements for the

dimensions of the RJ45 and power sockets. The use of prefabricated system cables available in different lengths reduces the processing effort at the installation site.
