ELCOME TO THE 2014 BULL BUYER’S GUIDE ISSUE. IN THIS ISSUE OF THE Cattleman, you’ll fi nd more than 30 pages of beef seedstock ge- netics to peruse and purchase in our special advertising section. You’ll also fi nd a handy and attractive Beef Breeds poster, sponsored by
our friends at Southwest Ford. Thanks to the beef breed associations that participated, we were able to produce a poster showing the breed ideals of the beef cattle generally advertised in The Cattleman. And, on the back of the poster, you can examine the 2015 lineup of

from drought-stressed cows and their calves. Technical veterinarians in the animal health community shared their insights on the health chal- lenges these cows and calves might face and how ranchers can manage the health of their herds. We also have an article on unusual cloning research being done at
West Texas A&M University (WTAMU). The research is intriguing and it is putting WTAMU on the map of the scientifi c community. In the Issues and Policy department of this issue, you’ll fi nd an obvi-
