Pre-angled thermoplastic MT ferrules


US Conec, a global leader in the design and development of high- density optical interconnections, announces the immediate availability of singlemode pre-angled thermoplastic MT ferrules. The unique pre-angled design eliminates a polishing fixture, minimising the polishing time during the production process, all while improving the overall performance of the MT ferrule. Available in 12- and 24-fibre counts, the single- mode, pre-angled MT ferrules are compatible with MTP brand MPO connector components and are fully compliant with IEC 61754-5 and IEC 61754-7 standards.

MRV Communications has announced that its OptiSwitch 9244 10GE pre-aggregation platform is the latest solution in the OptiSwitch portfolio to be compliant with the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Carrier Ethernet (CE) 2.0 specifications. The OptiSwitch 9244 platform features a compact, high-density and low-power design that empowers service providers to streamline the delivery and management of mobile, wholesale and business Ethernet services, the company says.

Tektronix, a provider of test, measurement, and monitoring instrumentation, has announced a compliance transmitter test solution for the Project 25 (P25) Common Air Interface (CAI) Phase 1 and Phase 2 standard. The company has also announced a series of new capabilities for its RSA5000B, RSA6000B and SPECMONB real time signal analysers.


P25 is a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) standard developed by the TIA-102 (Telecommunications Industry Association) and is used primarily by North American and Australian public safety and


government organisations to provide interoperability among various agencies. With Phase 2 in the early phases of deployment, there is a growing need for cost-effective, test solutions to verify P25 standards compliance and perform troubleshooting. The software gives RF test engineers and safety agencies the convenience of push-button measurements with automated pass/fail reporting and runs on Tektronix spectrum analysers, all Tektronix Windows-based oscilloscopes, and on SignalVu-PC linked with the MDO4000B Mixed Domain Oscilloscope Series. www.tekcomms.com
