EXAS AND SOUTHWESTERN CATTLE RAISERS ASSOCIATION’S (TSCRA) 2014 fall meeting goes to Austin in September to prepare cattle raisers for the 2015
session of the Texas Legislature. This year’s fall meeting is designed to allow attend-

review policies and positions on critical issues. Trans- portation and water will be a primary focus as attendees hear from the Surface Use Working Group. Attendees will also hear from leading state offi cials. The climate will take center stage when attendees
hear an update on the fall and winter weather outlook from Evelyn Browning-Garriss, historic climatologist and editor of the Browning Newsletter. On Thursday night, attendees will mingle with elected offi cials at the Capitol Reception at Serrano’s.
This is your opportunity to visit with state leaders in a relaxed, casual setting. The board meeting on Friday, Sept. 26, will provide
an opportunity for members to wrap up association business. Evan Smith, editor in chief and CEO of The Texas Tribune, will provide insight into critical state issues and November’s general election.
