Hard Metal Milling Inserts CMT line of vertical milling inserts delivers longer tool
life, higher material removal, excellent surface finish, reduced cycle times, and lower cutting forces in
machining steel and other hard materials up to Rc 62. The specially ground profile incorporates four to eight cutting edges. The new cutters, which can be used with existing CMT C18 type toolholders, offer significantly improved performance due to the carbide grade, the PVD triple coating, and the spiral flute design which result in smoother cutting. Cutters are available in a wide range of profiles, including 60 and 55° partial profile for internal and external threading, and ISO and UN full profile for internal threading. Multiple sizes are offered for chamfering, grooving and boring, as well as regular and full radius groove milling. Carmex Precision Tools LLC Ph: 888-628-5030 Web site:

Two Module Five-Axis Portal Machine Innovative portal machine design features two five-axis machine modules on opposed sides of the bridge reducing the overall footprint and increasing productivity by a factor of two. The P5x5 has all the benefits associated with having two machines but with lower operating costs. Features include independent, but linked CNCs, two separate machining compartments (A and B sides), and the ability to machine two different parts at the same time.
For cutting composites, flood coolant cutting was added, and composite debris is flushed into a full-bed-length flume sys- tem. Flood coolant is continuously circulated throughout the machine for greater machine thermal stability and machine bed thermal sensors are used for dynamic thermal growth compensation. A and B sides each have axis travels of 272 × 57 × 31.5" (6900 × 1450 × 800 mm). Twin heads feature 100-hp (74.6-kW), 30,000 rpm, HSK 63 spindles each. Bertsche Engineering Corp. CNC is an easy-to-operate, extremely intuitive CNC control for vertical knee milling machines. Programming is done via easy-to-understand plain language user prompts that are accompanied by 3D graphic “Help” forms that clearly describe each cycle step, creating an instinctive interface that maximizes efficiency and increases production. Simplified navigation eliminates multiple menu screens. The MILLPWRG2 has improved on its interface and functionality by maintain- ing the same programming language and incorporating an all new “Powerful Easy” navigation system. The G2 adds new standard features like USB, networking accessibility, solid model graphics and new large 12.1" (307-mm) high resolu- tion display (1024 × 768). Built on the proven Heidenhain NC Kernel platform, the MILLPWRG2

Durable Protection for Iron/Steel Parts Microlok MZN is a fine-grained zinc phosphate coating that provides protection up to 1400°F for steel and cast iron parts in high heat. Typical applications include brake components, tooling and machine components, piston/cylinder assemblies, rotors and calipers, oil-field equipment or any part that does not require a dark black finish, but does require robust corrosion
