WEST COUNTRY CUP NEWQUAY 3RD - 5TH APRIL
The West Country Cup, now in it’s 16th year, is the most prestigious Spring tournament in the UK.
The tournament continues to grow and 60 teams participated in 2012. Approximately half the teams are from the West Country with the remainder travelling from other UK
regions.
The Cup The competition operates for boys from U8 to U16 level and for girls from U14 to U16 level, with the matches played on good quality grass fields at Tretherras School and Newquay’s recently refurbished Sports Centre. The football will be played on the 3rd - 5th April with most finals played at Newquay Football Club, home of ‘The Peppermints’, a fine facility near the centre of town.
Accommodation Your stay is at the superb Trevelgue Holiday Park, located only a few minutes drive from the football fields and only 2 miles from the centre of Newquay. Your stay is from the 2nd - 6th April.
Facilities include an indoor swimming pool, adventure playground, bar, restaurant and nightclub with evening cabaret. Other accommodation options are possible including schools, guest houses and hotels close to the centre of Newquay.
Location Newquay is fast developing a reputation as one of England’s busiest resorts. With 11 glorious sandy beaches, Newquay is the surfer’s capital of the UK, it also has many family attractions and an excellent reputation for nightlife.
