Football The tournament is played at excellent facilities in the neighbouring villages of Hengelo and Keyenborg, about 30 minutes to the north of Arnhem. A maximum of 12 teams per age group will be split into groups of 4, 5 or 6. Each team plays group games on the Saturday with further matches to determine winners and placement positions on the Sunday. Duration of games is 2 x 25 minutes. Age dispensations on request. Facilities at the grounds are excellent with 5 full size pitches, training area, canteen, and first aid.

History 2013 will be the 5th Netherlands Easter Trophy. In 2012, 48 teams from Holland, Slovakia, Germany, Scotland and England competed for the trophies.

Location The quaint villages of Hengelo and Keyenborg are located in the province of Gelderland, close to the German border and near to Arnhem, a city made famous by it’s ‘Bridge Too Far’. Today, Arnhem is a very modern city with excellent shopping and fantastic nightlife. The province of Gelderland is very attractive with historic cities and lovely villages.

Social Programme The hub of the tournament is the spacious clubhouse and outside terrace overlooking the pitches. Sightseeing possibilities include a visit to Amsterdam and the Ajax Stadium.

Meals Packed lunches are provided for coaches and players free of charge on tournament days. The clubhouse also serves food and refreshments including a BBQ on the clubhouse terrace.

Accommodation We provide accommodation within 10 minutes to one hour from the tournament location. Arnhem is a popular base for teams and the delightful cities of Apeldoorn, Deventer, Doetinchem and Zutphen are within easy reach. Holiday Villages and Center Parcs are located in the Dutch countryside.

Farmhouses (-£40 per person) Basic, multi-bedded accommodation available within 10 - 15 minutes of tournament venue. Room only basis.

Youth Hostel Arnhem, Doorwerth, Apeldoorn and Gorssel, within 30-45 minutes.

Tourist Hotel Very limited, suitable for smaller groups only.

Holiday Villages Landal Green Parks at Coldenhove, Heideheuvel and Stroombroek within 30-45 minutes.

Center Parcs (+ £20 per person ) Het Heijderbos, south of Nijmegen, 60 minutes. De Eemhof, east of Amsterdam, 60 minutes.
