HAIR RAISER! LUNA PARK SYDNEY

REACHES NEW HEIGHTS

The park is dwarfed by the massive Harbour Bridge adjacent to it, but nevertheless the skyline at Luna Park Sydney has just got a little bit more interesting. Opened this winter (or “summer” down under), Hair Raiser is a 50m-tall (164ft) drop tower from the American manufacturer Larson International.

The first new ride to be added to the Australian venue since 2004, the tower becomes the tallest and fastest attraction in the Luna Park line-up, offering passengers a whole new perspective of the famous Sydney Harbour and the city skyline. For the holiday season, the park also presented a Freak Out ride from KMG as a temporary attraction.

Studios Hollywood Following the introduction in 2011 of Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem at Universal Studios in Orlando, the 3D HD motion simulator ride is to be introduced at the sister Universal Studios park in Hollywood together, for the first time, together with an interactive play land also inspired by the animated Despicable Me movie. Super Silly Fun Land will be an elaborate kids’ play zone unique to the Hollywood park, packed full of fountains, water play areas and splash pools. A nearby dry zone will invite guests to climb, crawl, jump and slide – including a themed ride soaring and spinning passengers around.
