FIPP offers new Insights


FIPP has launched an Insight newsletter, which will shed light on new research, resources and marketing initiatives from around the world. The free monthly newsletter provides the tools to inform and develop magazine media knowledge for media owners, brand managers, agencies and advertisers. FIPP members indicated in our 2013 membership survey they put tremendous value on the research our members or we conduct and share, to develop insight into the challenges and opportunities existing in the marketplace. The survey found that the key issues of interest for members were innovation, media trends and online publishing, all of which are


covered in our research publications and will be featured in FIPP Insight. The newsletter covers international


research news, Innovations in Magazine Media World Report case studies, data from FIPP World Magazine Trends and news on FIPP Insight events – the FIPP Innovation Forum and FIPP Digital Newsstand Forum, not to mention the annual FIPP Research Forum and Awards. FIPP Insight will be distributed to more than 10,000 global media contacts.

n BURDA INTERNATIONAL and GLAM MEDIA have agreed to enter a partnership to launch Glam Media Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The announcement was


made by Fabrizio D’Angelo (pictured), CEO of Burda International and FIPP chairman, and Samir Arora, chairman and CEO of Glam Media. In the new company, Glam Media Russia, Burda International will provide marketing and advertising solutions for brands, as well as other Burda sites, such as www.burdastyle.ru. n According to the latest App Annie Index, MAGAZINE CLONER was the 10th highest


earning non-gaming app publisher in the world on both iOS and Google Play. This follows the App Annie 2013 Retrospective, which placed Magazine Cloner seventh in the highest-earning app publisher stakes in the UK in 2013. Ian Remmer, sales director at MagazineCloner said: “Magazine Cloner has grown significantly in the last two years. and these reports underline the impressive growth of our platform and user- base. Numerous improvements on the way.”


n RINGIER and AXEL SPRINGER will merge activities in Hungary to launch Ringier Axel


Springer Media. The companies will sell a part of their Hungarian media portfolio to Vienna Capital Partners to comply with competition

n FORBES has announced the launch of ‘Stream’ - a new tool within its iOS


app. Stream allows the magazine’s readers to save and share app content with other readers and discover content from Forbes magazine and Forbes.com. The technology has been developed by MAZ and enables readers to participate in a Forbes-only mini social network. www.forbes.com
