Description: This four-hour course will provide a business overview of the aviation safety regulations governing the sale, purchase, receiv- ing, inspection and stocking of civil aviation articles and the day-to- day considerations for helicopter professionals relating to the design, production or maintenance of aircraft parts. It will address the federal aviation regulations and FAA guidance material relating to 14 CFR parts 1, 3, 21, 43, 65 and 145.

Military to Civilian Transition Workshop February 24

Description: Led by a group of former military aviators with partici- pation by the Military Offi cers Association of America, this workshop will cover essential topics for military aviators exiting the services and who want to continue their aviation careers in the civil helicopter community. Although the workshop will focus on assisting military pilots, many topics are applicable to maintenance technicians who are exiting the military services as well.


• Networking, resumé writing and interview tips


• Use of the GI Bill and civilian certifi cations, and overview of the federal aviation regulations


• Common stumbling points for military aviators in the civilian world.
