Coming home to freeflight: This high performance classic freeflight design is the second in a series.

re you returning to gas power du- ration freeflight after years of ab- sence and need a boost to get go- ing again? Are you an active flier who wants to add a little spice to your flying by building a modern design? In either case, QBIT is the classic freeflight for you. The second in a “Coming Home To Free Flight” series, this classic pylon configuration will fill that bill for a modern up-to-date new de- sign that allows you to use those motors you’ve had stored away. The first plane in the series, Santa Cruz Mk III, (CD450, Jan- uary, 2013 FLYING MODELS), is a contest proven semi-high thrust model. The second plane, QBIT, is a conventional competitive pylon model, that uses the same proven fly- ing surfaces as Santa Cruz.
