illy Hardwick won 18 Professional Bowlers Association Tour titles. He was also the first bowler to complete the sport’s Triple Crown, winning the 1963 PBA National, the


’65 Tournament of Champions and the ’69 BPAA All-Star (which later became the BPAA U.S. Open). Hardwick was twice named Bowler of the Year, and is a member of both the PBA Hall of Fame and the USBC Hall of Fame.


The Blond Bomber: Hardwick, an unproven bowler when he joined the PBA Tour in 1962, became the tour’s first homegrown star by winning four tournaments and the Bowler of the Year award in 1963.
